History of TEAA
The inception of the Textile Engineering Alumni Association (TEAA), MBSTU, was first conceived during a get-together of former students on May 2, 2014, at Fire on Ice Restaurant, Uttara, Dhaka. This historic meeting was attended by alumni from multiple batches, including Subrata Chandra Das, Md. Shafayet Arefin, Md. Abu Jamir Alo, Md. Arafat Idris, Md. Baqui Billah, Md. Following this decision, a formal application was submitted to the Department of Textile Engineering to initiate the official proceedings for establishing the TEAA, MBSTU.
This marked a significant step toward institutionalizing the association, ensuring its structured growth and long-term sustainability. However, no response was received at that time. Despite this, the initiative marked the first-ever effort to establish a structured alumni network for the former students of the department.
